Can Demons Hurt Born-Again Christians?

DEMONS HURTING CHRISTIANS
Are You Qualified for Battle?

This is tricky business. It begs a number of questions.  Can a demon hurt a born-again Christian?

To EVERYONE I recommend reading “He Came to Set the Captives Free”.

You can buy it here, second hand, for as little as $6 or so:
http://www.amazon.com/He-Came-Set-Captives-Free/dp/0883683237/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1274955672&sr=8-1

For those less inclined to read this awesome book, I believe that yes, demons can hurt Christians.
BUT LET ME QUALIFY THIS.

Questions to Consider:

  • What makes a person a true “born-again” believer? (note the word “BELIEVE”)
  • Remember the disciples could not get “Legion” out of the man because of their lack of faith or what Jesus called “unbelief”.  Jesus told the disciples that their level of “unbelief” needed to be addressed by fasting and prayer.  A common misconception is that Jesus meant you had to fast and pray to get rid of the demons.  That’s not what he meant.
  • What do you mean by the word “HURT”?  Demons hurt us all day long every day. See (Eph. 6:12)
  • Can a Christian, even one who believes they are “born-again”, do something to open a door to the demonic and give a hall-pass to attack?
  • Why did Simon Magnus, the sorcerer, want the Baptism of the Holy Spirit SO BADLY?  Sorcerers can conjure up seriously powerful demons.  They can put curses on people, cause demonic sicknesses, and even kill people.  Why the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?
  • Is it possible, even highly likely, every single member of the churches during Paul’s time had the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?

He Came to Set the Captives Free

If you have any concerns at all regarding this subject, I cannot more highly recommend you buy this book and seriously study it.  I have read it twice and intend to read it again. It is loaded with scripture and real life experience that will captivate, educate, and amaze.

It is a book of horror, revelation, victory and advanced spiritual warfare education.  It will help you understand what we are up against with real-world testimony.

The writer of the book, Rebecca Brown M.D., was called by God into a small town in middle America, to help save people who had been lured into the “Brotherhood”.  It describes in great detail the recruitment process into the Brotherhood.  It tells how Satanist gravitate to Hospital jobs (particularly intensive care wards) so they can “steal the souls” of people on their death beds.  It will give you a reality shock when you realize the sheer “Hell” Rebecca went through as she tried to rescue her friend Elaine from the clutches of this extremely powerful group of Brotherhood members.

Anyone who knows ANYTHING about the enemy, knows about “The Brotherhood”.  They are surpassed only by the “Illuminati” in their Satanic power and evil-doing.  They are routine ritualistic baby killers.  That’s as far as I will go to explain the threat.  You need to put aside your television shows for a few nights and READ THIS BOOK.

Important Note to Readers of the Book:

Rebecca Brown had to routinely seek assistance from a church leader.  This church leader helped her drive out demons on occasion.  While it was not stated in the book, I believe it is highly likely this church leader had the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and she did not.  Just something to consider while reading the book.  Her greatest victory in driving out a powerful demon happened when she read the Book of Revelation to the demon attacking her friend.  The Word of God is ALIVE.

David Hogan, “Faith to Raise the Dead”

Also – David Hogan’s testimony (toward the very end) in the YouTube video series “Faith to Raise the Dead”, tells of a horrific event where he and his team went to a VERY DARK place in central American to heal a woman and chase out some demons.

The short version is that God told them to MAKE A RUN FOR IT and for darn good reasons.

Pastor Chuck Missler, Alien Encounters

Another testimony in regard to this topic is revealed in the Chuck Missler series, Alien Encounters here:

http://www.khouse.org/pages/special_events/alien_encounters/.

In this series, Pastor Missler tells of a story where he was preaching about “Aliens being Demons” and that he was positive that Christians (born-again Christians) could NOT be abducted by aliens (demons). But later he had to recant. Evidently Pastor Missler was called on the telephone (after the lecture) by a well known government official who was there.  This official did not agree that Christians could not be abducted by these “alien demons” because it happened to HIM.

After some interaction, Chuck discovered this highly credible “born-again” abductee had dabbled ever-so-slightly in an occult practice. Was it “astrology”? He didn’t say. But it “opened a door” to the demonic and this man was “attacked” by demons.

What Are The Requisite Qualifications?

The other thing to consider is: What are the actual qualifications necessary to adequately fight the worst demons? Being born-again implies true salvation AND a STRONG RELATIONSHIP with JESUS.  This does not result from an altar call.  Relationship building and faith building both take time.

The other thing to consider is this. It is reasonable to suggest that virtually ALL the churches during the Apostle’s walk on earth had the Acts 2:2 Baptism of the Holy Spirit? Why wouldn’t they? Those were the days when everyone expected to get it and went after it aggressively. Even Simon Magnus the sorcerer tried to pay for the power before Paul told him to get lost. It was a “big deal” back then. AND it should be ESPECIALLY today!

David Hogan had the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues (as evidence) and God told him to “make a run for it”.

Curry Blake, and John G. Lake Ministries

I believe everyone should take the Divine Healing Technician Course AND the Spiritual Warfare course from John G. Lake Ministries.

Pastor Blake Tells you to Just Do It!

Here is a link to the Divine Healing Technician Course:

Here is a link to the Spiritual Warfare Course:
http://www.jglm.org/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=62&Itemid=1&TreeId=7

You can start with the Spiritual Warfare 101 teaching as I am.  These are not inexpensive trainings.  But the money you spend preparing yourself to DO what JESUS said to do, is a form of “giving” to the church (body of Christ) because it “benefits” the mission of Jesus as long as you don’t just sit there and learn.

You MUST go out and use the training and follow:

Mark 16:15-18

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

NKJV

Or you can buy Rebecca Brown’s book on this topic entitled “Prepare for War” to save money.  If you expect to “go into battle” at some point, the more training you have the better.

And remember, God wants you to be properly prepared.  He has given you all you need in his Word.  But the Word of God is VAST and can be challenging to understand because of its size.  The Bible talks about “teachers” appointed by God because these people have the proper qualifications and the divine leading of the Holy Ghost.

If you are going to get a heart transplant, do you go to your neighborhood physician?  Go to the experts and make sure you get the whole teaching from those experienced in this specialty.

Everyone should listen to David Hogan’s testimony, and read the Book, “He Came to Set the Captives Free”.  This is a MINIMUM.

And everyone should seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

When it Comes to Fighting Demons
Being saved alone, is like being a “first semester” Christian

Not sure if I would want to go up against such forces with only first semester training

  1. I ordered the book by Rebecca Brown from Amazon. Looks like a good book. Thank you.

Several years ago while cleansing a house of evil spirits. One of the spirits broke several of the bones in my hand. My hand swelled up and we put ice on it. It throbbed. I have several witnesses, everyone there knew it was broken. We decided to go for an x-ray in the morning. It was very late about midnight. Of course everyone prayed for me. I slept well. In the morning my hand was completely healed.

Another time an evil spirt threw a pressure cooker at my head. I was the only one in the room. This was in my own kitchen. the pressure cooker flew off the top shelf of my pantry all by itself. The evil spirit missed! But the pressure cooker broke and so did the cermic tile floor.

I had several really bad encounters when I was about 10 years old.

When we bought our present house. There were alot of evil spirits here. Jeff offered to sell the house and move. But I felt God had put us here to clean up the neighborhood. It took 2 years to get our house and land cleansed.

And I am a tongues talkin, bible readin, spirit filled. Christian.

    Love
    Diane

  2. AMEN THANK YOU SO MUCH!
That is exactly what I was "hinting" at!1
    PRAISE JESUS – BE PREPARED!!

  3. John,

Let me begin by saying that I find the vast majority of your work to be interesting, thought provoking, and "on point"; however, I find your support of David Hogan somewhat disturbing, and I believe it does a great deal of harm to your credibility.

A VERY superficial internet search reveals a VAST number of sources pointing out Hogan as the sham that he is. I spent the majority of my day yesterday watching "Brother David's" videos on Youtube, reading various articles and testimonies from people who have seen him live, and other pieces on the man and I feel it is rather obvious that David Hogan is a complete hack.

How is it that someone who seems as discerning as you has been so completely taken in by someone who provides absolutely NO evidence for his "miracles", rarely ever preaches the Word, and castigates anyone who dares to question the validity of his claims?

As I said before, I find the overwhelming majority of your work to be interesting and informative, but I believe your support for people like David Hogan almost completely overshadows all of the positive aspects of your work.

I did not intend this comment as a "hit piece", but I hate to see your work being tarnished by your affinity for Hogan. With that being said, I did in fact check out your recommendation for Rebecca Brown and ordered three of her books from Amazon.

  4. Thank you for your concerns. However it does not matter which person you research on the Internet, Andrew Wommack, Curry Blake, Chuck Missler, George Bush, Mother Teresa, NO MATTER … you will find a collection of disparaging remarks, slander, and horrible things said about them.

It is the nature of the Internet and freedom of speech. Believe what you want to believe about David Hogan but you need to do your own homework and not take some slanderous web page(S) as legitimate information.

GOD BLESS YOU AND BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

  5. I would like to ask how I can cleanse my house. My children have seen a dark shadow. I am no longer afraid as i staked this is God's house and God rebuke this entitiy. I have been under oppression for some time now and have trouble getting free. I am semi-anti-social. When I am out in public I interact fine without anxiety. Leaving the house is not something I like to do however. Sometimes it is like a vice grip is on my head. Also I see my pastor is under sever attack currently by something. What can I do? I have been trying to be set apart to God for some time. lately felt hopeless that I could be of any use, but tonight I feel righteous indignation risng up and if I was aware of how to fight this I am ready now as I have had enough. Are they not trespassing on God's children and have they any right to oppress the people of GOd? Moreover do we not have the power and authority in Jesus Name in union with him, to attack them and drive them out of our land. If so I need to know if there are any ground rules set forth in the Bible. I will reread Ephesians ch. 6 tonight. I need prayer but we have to fight I have been walked over long enough. I know I can't fight in my own strength but Jesus is near and I call upon you Jesus to free us! We need understanding, we need your power and Holy Spirit possess me fully I pray for God's glory. please pray and offer any guidance you might have knowledge of truth i do not know. Thank you and God Bless. Hephzibah

  6. Since you are "anonymous" I am not able to email you directly. My email is [email protected].

You may also search through the articles on the right side of the web page. Look for an article entitled "Demons and Spiritual Warfare Basics". That will have your answers.
