Only Thinking Out Loud
Could the Jews & The Christians Be the Two Witnesses for Our Lord?

This article is just me thinking out loud.  In most respects these ideas are more or less rhetorical in nature.  Frankly the discussion of the “two witnesses” and who “they are” is one that will drive most Christians nuts.  It is very complex and has been “beaten to death” for hundreds of years by Ph.D.s and advanced theologians.  Just publishing these ideas gives me the “look out” feeling since it is potentially explosive in nature.

But I thought it might be “interesting” to present another look at who the “two witnesses” might be in lieu of so much of this other highly controversial information that has surfaced to our readership as of late.

For example, we know that the “New Age” / Luciferians will be trying to usher in their one world religion and probably present this Maitreya “entity”as their new “Jesus” (more thoughts on that later in a future “Alien Demon Agenda” article).   And we also know that the Jews and the Christians are the ARCH ENEMY of the Luciferian “rebellion” right?  There is absolutely NO DOUBT that the forces of evil and Lucifer’s army HATE two groups of people more than any others.  Jews and Christians.  The “seed” of Adam.   The “seed” of Abraham.

First the “Saturday People” then the “Sunday People” … remember?

Who is the Godhead?  Isn’t Jesus God?

This concept, I realize, potentially opens up a “can of worms”.  But it had occurred to me that most Christians agree that Jesus is God.  Right?  We have adopted this concept of the “trinity” which is made up of YHWH God, His son Jesus and the “breath of God”, the “restrainer” or Holy Spirit.

Now never mind the fact that the word “Elohim” could possibly mean there are more to this “Godhead” than just these three.  We “assume” that “Elohim” simply means the “Father, Son and the Holy Spirit”.  It is only an ASSUMPTION.  And you know what that means … right?

When Jesus said “there is no way to the Father but by me”, and you realize that Jesus is part of the “Godhead” it does make you think … doesn’t it?  After all, most Christians accept that “Israel” are God’s chosen people and YHWH intends to give them a “divine hall pass” of some sort … right?

Sometimes I wonder, since Jesus was there at the time the Universe(s) were created, and has been part of the “godhead” since the “beginning”, if there is “more than meets the eye” here.  Surely YHWH God is not going to send all the dead Israelites to Hell because they didn’t go to the Father through Jesus, is He?  If you cannot get to the Father but through Jesus, what happens to all the people who loved YHWH before Jesus was born?  Are they all condemned to the judgement and possibly Hell?

Makes you think … doesn’t it?

I hope so.

THE TWO WITNESSES … Might Be?
Thinking Out Loud about Revelation 11: 3-13

Here below I have included my “thinking out loud” thoughts on the “Two Witnesses” in light of some of the recent knowledge we have about our “enemy’s” master plan and this New Age / Luciferian ecumenical movement.

My “thinking out loud” comments are in the “gold color”.

Please Note:  These are only ideas.  I am not presenting ANY CONCLUSIONS.  Please consider all of my “comments in gold” to be only “thinking out loud” thoughts.  If you have ideas about my “thoughts” you can email me if you would like.  But please don’t go “theological” on me and give me a hundred reasons why this cannot possibly be correct because it will fall on deaf ears.  Again these are only “ideas” to consider.  I have heard all the Moses, and Elijah arguments until I’m blue in the face.

The Two Witnesses

Rev 11:3-13

And I will give power to my two witnesses [Holy Spirit Power], and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days [3.5 years, using the Jewish 360 day year], clothed in sackcloth [clothed in sackcloth is symbolic for under-persecution].”

4  These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands [Watch OUT here… Olive Trees and Lampstands … I wonder if this is the JEWS (olive trees) and Christians (Lamp Stands) – this would make sense as both Jews and Christians are WITNESSES FOR YHWH GOD who is JESUS “godhead” get it?] standing before the God* [should be “Lord”] of the earth [which is Satan]. 5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies [This may be symbolic – fire devours them because YHWH is going to destroy those who resist His word with Fire, the Holy Spirit is Fire, fire for them = death]. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. 6 These have power to shut heaven [only followers of YHWH / Jesus have the power to shut heaven], so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood [Similar to Moses], and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire[Similar to Moses],.

The Witnesses Killed

7  When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war [war takes time – the Jews and Christians are murdered en masse] against them, overcome them, and kill them [Wow – this is exactly what Matt. 24 says about the followers of Jesus isn’t it?] 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom [abomination committing countries? – US if it is still around then but probably not] and Egypt [ISLAMIC States], where also our Lord was crucified [ISRAEL]. 9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves [The slaughtered Jews and Christians are left to lie in the streets because people HATE THEM]. 10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another [happens around Xmas pagan gift giving perhaps], because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth [The Jews and Christians, e.g. YHWH’s witnesses, HELD THEIR GROUND and told everyone that Maitreya was NOT GOD!! – GET IT?? The “Jews and the Christians” refused to accept the New Age religion. They are the “arch enemy” of Lucifer’s army. They are the final hold outs of YHWH and Jesus. The Jews and the Christians, First the Saturday People THEN the Sunday People].

The Witnesses Resurrected

11  Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” [RAPTURE HERE MAYBE?] And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. 13 In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.

  1. Hi John, my husband and I recently found your site and just want to thank you for the enormous content that we both think is right on the money. It helps me out to see that more Christians are waking up to all the falsehoods that have almost destroyed our faith. I just read your take on the two witnesses and hubby and I both think that theory is awesome and plausible. It is exciting to see how things are playing out in the world. We recently moved from Houston to Colorado and are very thankful that we are out of harm's way from the gulf debacle. We will keep you in prayer so that you will be able to leave with the Lord's timing. He is awesome indeed!

    Regards,
    Laura

  2. Thank you. For every controversial posting I lose someone but usually gain a few more open minded Christians. That's why I am so grateful I dont' rely on people's contributions, otherwise I would be "unequally yoked" technically.

Looking back in retrospect, I wonder if the two "groups" might be the "bloodline" Israelites and the "gentile" Christians. One thing is for sure, I just cannot buy "two individuals" prophecying for 3.5 years and Satan having to "wage war" against them. That's utterly ridiculous. God is not ridiculous, he is AWESOME.

  3. Thanks. Actually I am "not on" anything "anymore". I admit in past years I probably was "on something" but the Lord has helped me give all that "stuff" up ;).

I find it interesting that mind expansion techniques are used heavily by our enemy to expand their spiritual connectivity. And God, as the Rasta's say, gave us all his herbs to enjoy which indeed is scriptural. So it makes you scratch your head a bit.

But as for me, the "clarity" of mind is what helps me think of things that "make sense" perhaps a little better.

I am certain that as I expose the "alien demon" stuff more, that people will be utterly convinced I am "on something" … and quite frankly as I research the material sometimes I wish I "WAS" on something. It is some seriously creep stuff.

    Be Blessed In Jesus Name
    Amen
    John

  4. Isaiah 43
1But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
    5Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
    6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
8 Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.

I just wanted to say that your contribution to this question is outstanding. We have some REALLY scary SMART people here on Tribulation-Now and obviously you are one of them. GOD BLESS YOU MIGHTILY.

I sent your Isaiah 43 information to our brother "Martin" in Glasgow, Scotland. Martin is a "scripture gobbling maniac" and I use him as a litmus test for scriptural sanity of controvesial subject. Martin agrees that there is much merrit and Isaiah 43 may very well be pointing to "two" groups of people that may be 1) the bloodline Jacob / Israel, and 2) perhaps the Jesus filled "gentiles".

One thing is for certain. Two bearded orthodox Jews standing on a street corner in Jerusalem, for 1,260 days prophecying does NOT MAKE sense.

BE BLESSED IN THE NAME OF JESUS OUR KING
Thank you so much for taking the time to contribute.

    AWESOME!!

  6. There you go thinking outside the box again. You may be more =on than off- on this one. Please continue because the more you offer the less chance that we may be fooled.

  7. I am not an expert on anything and I'm definitely not a "theologian". All I hope to accomplish is to help people see that the Bible is complicated and "maybe" we should "rethink" some of the things we've been "programmed" to believe. Jesus is KING!! Forgiveness and Love are paramount.
BE BLESSED IN JESUS NAME ; )

  8. I give a hearty amen to "'maybe' we should 'rethink' some of the things we've been 'programmed' to believe."

For one, I pray our eyes will be opened to the long standing hypothesis of a 7 year peace treaty and a third temple. Jesus said, 'see your house is left to you desolate'. The covenant Jesus may have been speaking of is the 70-7's and the reconfirming, or the restart thereof.
    -Kari

  9. oops, I meant Gabriel in speaking about the 70-7's instead of Jesus, as he was speaking to Daniel, not Jesus in Daniel 9.

  10. Kari – I need to get you in contact with Martin in Glasgow, Scotland. He is working on similar studies and you two need to talk. Can you send me your email address?

  11. The fulness of the gentiles is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit! They will see their teachers saying, 'this is the way-walk in it!'

    Romans 11:25
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

  12. Wow – excellent. Never occurred to me but this is exactly why this kind of "thought" must be published.

God Bless YOU – this is fabulous!
    Amen!

  13. Johnny B,
Great site, first time reader!! I love how the Holy Spirit is using you, great insight brother!!

How about what my ESV study Bible says about the two witnesses:

Rev. 11:4 These are the two olive trees. In Zechariah's vision, the “two olive trees” symbolized “two anointed ones” (Zech. 4:11, 14): a royal leader to rebuild God's temple (Zech. 4:6–10) and a high priest to lead worship in it (Zech. 3:1–5). Thus the witnesses of Rev. 11:3 aptly represent all whom the Lamb has redeemed to serve as priests and rule as kings (1:6; 5:10).

Rev. 11:5–6 The witnesses especially fulfill the church's prophetic role, pouring God's word as fiery judgment from their mouth (cf. 2 Kings 1:10–12), announcing drought like Elijah (1 Kings 17:1), and turning waters … into blood like Moses (Ex. 7:14–25).

Rev. 11:7–10 Although the witnesses are invincible until they have finished their testimony, when their mission is accomplished the beast from the bottomless pit (13:1) will conquer them, not through spiritual seduction (God will soon vindicate them) but through martyrdom (11:7; cf. 13:7). The great city that symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt is identified as the site of the martyrs' death and their Lord's crucifixion. See also references to “the great city” in 16:19; 17:18; and five times in 18:10–21, where in these instances “the great city” is symbolically identified as “Babylon,” a euphemism for Rome. In this verse (17:8), however, the symbol is apparently to be understood in a broader sense to include Jerusalem, where the two martyrs are killed and the “Lord was crucified.” It is likely that John has merged Rome and Jerusalem here into one combined symbol, which would be fitting because Jerusalem was under the domination of Roman rule and because Jerusalem is identified as the capital of the new “unholy Roman Empire,” where the Antichrist himself will establish his rule (cf. Matt. 24:15; 2 Thess. 2:3). “The great city” is further identified symbolically (or “spiritually”; see esv footnote) as “Sodom” (known for its depravity and rebellion against God) and as “Egypt” (known for its persecution of God's people), both of which again correspond to the city of Jerusalem, both in its persecution and martyrdom of the prophets and its rejection and crucifixion of the Messiah. Thus the symbol of “the great city” had broad significance in John's day, but it also stands as a representative symbol for every empire that grasps after divine glory and afflicts Christ's church even in this present day. three and a half days. The celebration of the rebellious over the church's apparent demise through persecution will be short-lived.

Rev. 11:11–14 they stood up on their feet … they went up to heaven in a cloud. If the two witnesses (v. 3) symbolize the church, then these verses predict the vindication of God's witnessing church in resurrection (cf. Ezek. 37:10) and enthronement in heaven (see Dan. 7:13; Acts 1:9). If they are two actual individuals, then they are miraculously resurrected at this point (cf. Rev. 11:7). Even if they are taken as literal people, their resurrection could still symbolize the resurrection of the saints either in the middle or at the end of the “great tribulation” period (7:14). As in 1:7, Acts 1:9, and several OT passages, the “cloud” symbolizes the mysterious active presence of God. This event will coincide with a great earthquake (Rev. 11:13; cf. 6:12; 16:18) that strikes terror in the hearts of survivors. The third woe is soon to come: the seventh and last trumpet (10:7; 11:15–18).

How can two people torment the whole world?? It sure sounds like the whole church. Great article, love it!!

    God Bless,
    Brandon

  14. Brandon this is fabulous stuff. When I get out of the "day job" I will do some hard hitting study on this information. Thank you for sharing. I have an ESV account etc. and have not noticed that take on the two witnesses. That's neat.

    BE BLESSED IN JESUS NAME

  15. WOW WOW WOW WOW

All my life I have had it burned into my thick skull that the two witnesses were Elijah and Moses or Elijah and Enoch. But it just didn't make sense. There is NOW WAY two bearded "wonder boys" are going to stand on a street corner in Tel Aviv while Satan's army shoots at them with Tanks! That's utterly ridiculous. Amen and PRAISE JESUS for your contribution.

  16. Excellent article and comments! Thank you so much for the richness of insight on this page!!
I also believe that the two witnesses will be the Church and Spiritual Israel!

Also note an interesting correlation between "earthquakes" and "resurrections." Time and again, the scriptures point to resurrection of the dead associated with an earthquake.
    Refer to:
Mat 27:51-54, the saints who were raised when Jesus died on the cross. "the earth did quake."
Rev 6:12 I believe this great earthquake coincides with the second coming of Jesus when the dead in Christ rise first. (I believe there is no chronological order to the book of Revelation.)
Rev 11:12-13 The two witnesses (US!) are "called up" at the same time of a great earthquake- which I believe is the Rev 6 earthquake.

God bless and keep up the awesome work!!
