Brothers and Sisters,I came across this in my daily readings and had to laugh, it seemed so appropriate. I just thought I would share it with my brothers and sisters as a word from the Lord. We get so caught up in what might be and what is hidden, what might be coming and such things. All very interesting, and important, as long as we remember our first mission…to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. This message might bring a chuckle to your day, at how God’s word transcends time and can speak just as sharply to us thousands of years after it was first delivered.
Isa. 8: 11-20
11 The Lord has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said,
12 “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. 13 Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble. 14 He will keep you safe. But to Israel and Judah he will be a stone that makes people stumble, a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare. 15 Many will stumble and fall, never to rise again. They will be snared and captured.”
16 Preserve the teaching of God; entrust his instructions to those who follow me. 17 I will wait for the Lord, who has turned away from the descendants of Jacob. I will put my hope in him.
18 I and the children the Lord has given me serve as signs and warnings to Israel from the Lord of Heaven’s Armies who dwells in his Temple on Mount Zion.
19 Someone may say to you, “Let’s ask the mediums and those who consult the spirits of the dead. With their whisperings and mutterings, they will tell us what to do.” But shouldn’t people ask God for guidance? Should the living seek guidance from the dead?
20 Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark. 21 They will go from one place to another, weary and hungry. And because they are hungry, they will rage and curse their king and their God. They will look up to heaven 22 and down at the earth, but wherever they look, there will be trouble and anguish and dark despair. They will be thrown out into the darkness.Peace and Joy in the midst of the storm,

Summary in Jesus Name
My summary?
Read Nancy’s contribution again. That’s my summary.
Great overview, brother and a touchingly honest post about how all this affects us emotionally. I agree with you and Nancy: the answer is in Hebrews ("Keeping our eyes fixed on JESUS…") and in being in the Secret Place more and more with our Love, our Husband, Brother! King and All-in-All.
That way we will be able to enter the fellowship of His sufferings and truly "count all things loss".
And the other issue you touch on (the checklist of Brownie points earned) is another real stinger that dogs a lot of us… Let us remember GRACE and to stand often before the Cross to hear the Words: "IT IS FINISHED!"
I think it is critical to remain deep in the Word each day and one resource helping me a lot is the Daily Audio Bible podcast; I recommend it.

AMEN Brother
There is still time to make 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 mean something.

I'm so glad God has it all mapped out and He is in control! Not to worry about anything, He is going to equip those from power from on high just like He did at Pentecost! That way all praise and glory go to Him! It's sooner than you think because I think I've been led to understand the timing. 2 verses that show it'll happen on the last day of Tabernacles: Sept 29.
John 7
37In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
& Joel 2
23Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
The Jewish people have more than 1 new year on the yearly calendar, (there's the agricultural and civil calendar) and I can't remember what this one is technically called, but this new year starts on Yom Teruah, aka Rosh Hashanah. This lands on the first day of the month of Tishri. Tabernacles is in the month of Tishri.
Isaiah 30 gives us clues as to when destruction happens and Israel will no longer have their eyes blinded: when the cities lie uninhabited due to desolation THEN they'll see their teachers (christians full of the Holy Spirit! This is what is meant by the fullness of the gentiles!) This is when the two houses become one under Messiah! One new man, no barrier! The festival of Ingathering, or Tabernacles will definately be called the Season of our Joy for a reason! The Lord is going to show Himself mighty through His people to bring in the harvest. Why have we seen an upswing in 'disclosure?' Because that is going to be their tactic against this HUGE tidal wave against them!!!! Be ready, be completely dependant upon God who is the author and finisher of our faith. It's not by might, or by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord.

hah! Best article so far. My thoughts exactly. Amazing how equal thoughts we have sometimes.
